Therapy

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. (Carl Rogers)

My Approach –  Humanistic Integrative

I believe that each one of us is unique and able to grow and develop throughout life and that we are capable of achieving goals. This view acknowledges that our environment and background, including early life experiences, can play a part in the challenges that we face, and these aspects can be processed in therapy. However, the focus is on what that means for us in the present and how we can move forward.

I know that one size does not fit all and therefore I integrate a range of therapeutic strategies, techniques and perspectives so that I am able to tailor my approach to each client, and I am a trauma informed and culturally sensitive Counsellor.

It may be that you have a specific goal in mind or that you simply want to be able to express your feelings or process something that has happened to you. It could be a current issue or an issue from the past. I am here and ready to listen. Whilst I cannot remove the difficulties you may be facing, I can support you in navigating them and developing strategies that you can use as you go forward. I will encourage you to recognise and work with the strengths that you have.
